Developmental Study

The long term goal of this project is to set up a small-scale longitudinal study investigating the development of self-regulation throughout middle childhood and adolescence through the use of combined behavioral and physiological measures.

As part of this project, we are collaborating with Dr. Jan Hughes’ Project Achieve. This longitudinal project has already collected over a decade’s worth of behavioral and questionnaire data on hundreds of children in Texas. We will investigate risk factors that can predict future criminal behavior or problems with the regulation of emotions.
