Kristina’s research interest includes the neurological connections between trauma and behavior exhibited by individuals with emotional and behavioral disorders and how those data may inform practical support toward independence in secondary settings. Kristina has presented regionally and nationally on related topics such as the overrepresentation of minorities and individuals with disability in seclusion and restraint statistics within school settings, and training special educators and their staff to empower individuals with disability toward independence in transition.
