Minchao is a Ph.D. student in the department of EPSY with emphasis in Developmental Sciences. She joined NLD in 2020 as a Master student to assist with behavioral data analysis on the Stress Project. She contitued her doctroal studies in Texas A&M after grauated from the Master’s program. Her research focuses on faciliating positive transfer in learning,  and how to quantify the degree of human learning transfer using both cognitive-behavioral experimental designs and physiological measures. She is now the project manager of the Transfer Project. The Transfer Project aims to investigate what is transferred, when and where transfer occurs during learning, and why it fails to transfer to a new context at times. She is also interested in how emotions, motivation, and sleep might affect transfer of learning.
